After being caught up in the traffic that Is the a13 road works, Bancroft arrived at Pegasus looking to continue their winning run. Pegasus traditionally boast a strong pack and this was expected to be the first big test of our well oiled lineout and scrum while missing a few key players to the squad we were still optimistic. After some great forward running from captain Ayo akinfenwa it was Bancroft that opened the scoring. Unfortunately after that Pegasus seemed to get the bit between their teeth and really took the ball to the Bamcroft pack around the fringes before spreading the ball wide for a well worked try. It’s very easy to suggest we had a bad day at the office but for the first time this season the defensive wall seemed strained and the penalty count reflected that with Pegasus using their rolling maul to inflict more tries and increase pressure on the Bancroft scrum. While injured the team were far from dead and rallied at the end into something we’ve become far more accustomed to and finished a well worked team try before the final whistle
